International Academy of Law "BERINGOFF"
Date of joining the International Network AML/CFT Institute: October 13, 2022 (Protocol of Accession).
The BERINGOFF International Academy of Law, located in Montreux (Switzerland), was established on the initiative of the Russian Bar Association together with a number of leading universities in the country (MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, O.E. Kutafin University (MSAL), Russian Academy of National Economy and State Service under the President of the Russian Federation, Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation), is a unique project in the field of international legal education.
The activities of the Academy are aimed at training young Russian lawyers in undergraduate and graduate programs with in-depth study of English and French, analysis of the peculiarities of the legislation of European countries and the practice of international organizations and judicial bodies.
The project is aimed at creating modern human resources in the field of international law. Currently, eight regional universities take part in the work of the Academy. So, on the basis of an agreement on the network form of implementation of educational programs, students master the undergraduate program in the field of study 40.03.01 Jurisprudence, focus (profile) "International Law and Comparative Law", and master s programs in the field of study 40.04.01 Jurisprudence "Master of International Financial Law ”, “Master of Laws in the field of intellectual property”, “International sports law”, “International environmental law”.
The training of students within the framework of these programs takes place alternately - two semesters in Russia, two semesters at the Academy in Montreux (Switzerland).
This format allows students not to “fall out” of the Russian educational process, to constantly be in interaction with Russian teachers. In addition, the Academy, when implementing joint educational programs, works strictly within the framework of Russian federal state educational standards for higher education.
Since its launch, the BERINGOFF International Academy of Law project has been actively working to create partner infrastructure in various regions of the world. Today, business relations with universities, academies and business schools, companies operating in the field of education in Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, India, Qatar, and Uzbekistan are developing dynamically.
