Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (NovSU)

Novgorod State University is the largest higher education institution in Novgorod region. Structurally, it comprises 8 institutes, 4 colleges and 55 departments. Practice- oriented training is provided at the University under 169 educational programs. Novgorod State University holds the leading position among higher education institutions in terms of number of state-funded students – in 2022/2023 academic year, 2,218 students may enroll in the University, whose tuition will be government-funded.

Novgorod State University participates in the “Priority 2030” Program by implementing the “Smart Electronics” and “University as Generator of Cultural Identity” projects. The first project involves development of special electronic chips with unique data processing algorithms. The “University as Generator of Cultural Identity” project is aimed at comprehensive study of the domestic cultural heritage.

Another large-scale project implemented by Novgorod State University involves development of a Novgorod Technical School which is a unique educational platform for training of competent specialists who meet the requirements and satisfy the demands of the rapidly growing digital economy markets. The project was launched at the University educational facilities, such as neurotechnology, autonomous transport, robotics, mechatronics, BIM technology, health informatics, cybersecurity, smart electronics, virtual and augmented reality and other laboratories.
