St. Petersburg State University of Economics, founded in 2012 as a result of a merger of three leading economic universities in St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Engineering and St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics), is one of the largest Russian universities and holds a leading position in economic education. The new united University preserves the scholarly traditions, innovative training courses, advanced teaching technologies, educational and scientific potential, as well as the best traditions of Soviet and Russian education.
The strategic goal of the development of St. Petersburg State University of Economics for the period up to 2030 is to evolve into a system integrator for advanced personnel, scientific and technological support of Russia’s global competitiveness in the context of transition to a sustainable economy.
The University implements higher education, retraining and professional development training programs as well as academic mobility programs in cooperation with international partners, including leading universities in Europe and Asia.
The University has 1 branch, 7 faculties, 45 departments; training takes place in 7 academic buildings.
Training of AML/CFT specialists is conducted at the Department of Economic Security of the Faculty of Business, Customs and Economic Security and the Faculty of Economics and Finance.
